Some of my stories have been packaged by Short Story Radio for hospital radio stations under the name of Bedside Stories.

You can listen to a couple of these on-line here.

The stories are read beautifully by Tamara Kennedy of Take the High Road, Taggart and Monach of the Glen fame.

Short Story Radio did a great job of recording my stories. The result is professional both in reading and production, making listening a pleasure. Ian has been easy to work with and I'm happy he approached me when he was looking for material as adapting short stories for broadcast has added a new dimension to my CV.

"In 2006 I created www.shortstoryradio.com with the aim of promoting the short story genre, giving writers a unique showcase for their work and allowing visitors to listen to entertaining stories free of charge.

"Since its launch Short Story Radio has had over 100,000 visitors from around the globe, not just the English speaking world but countries such as India, Iran and Vietnam as well. We have broadcast stories from many published writers, but also given some writers their first opportunity to have their work made available to an audience.  Our regular short story competition has attracted a large number of entries and discovered some exciting new talent.

"One project that I have very much enjoyed working on is the series of five short stories by Sue Moorcroft that have been recorded for hospital radio stations.  I was delighted when Sue agreed to be part of this project, as I knew her stories were just right for the project's intended audience, and would bring some pleasure and comfort to people in hospital.  Working with Sue and the reader, Tamara Kennedy, has been a great experience and the resulting recordings have been warmly welcomed by hospital radio stations around the UK."
