NEWS
Image Biggleswade Library gave us a great event and then we went on to a really lively meeting at Wrekin Writers on Saturday May 17. Altogether we raised about £450 for LOROS. After, Wenlock Books at Much Wenlock made us welcome for a discussion and booksigning. Very nice cake! Image
Between Two Worlds, which ran as a serial for The People's Friend at the end of 2007, is soon to be a large print book. Details tba. It's about what happens when two families with very different backgrounds become one.
Family Matters (Robert Hale, ISBN 978-070908523-2) came out on 31st March 2008. Buy it here or here.
There will also be a large print edition from Magna Large Print in September 2008.

To promote the book there are author events, three of which will make up The Secrets Tour with Judith Allnatt (A Mile of River, Doubleday ISBN 978-038561306-4) and writer and poet Keith Large.

This was a great event with Keith Large and Judith Allnatt and we were delighted to raise £250 for LOROS (the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering).

Image We also entertained a receptive audience for a couple of hours, enjoyed a lovely buffet courtesy of sponsors Toolgear and the Greyhound Coaching Inn and even sold a few books. Image
On February 11th I did an author event at Bedford Library with Mills & Boon wonder-author Natasha Oakley. We got a good audience and went into a kind of double-act. Lots of fun!

Workshop News: I'm doing a series of Saturday courses for Adult Learning Services Northants at Caroline Chilsholm School, Wootton, Northampton, in November and December. Details at: www.northamptonshire.gov.uk.
On-line Interviews: See www.greatwriting.co.uk.
Great Writing is a really good site and Mike Atherton works hard on the content.
My interview is part of the Romantic Novelists' Association special.

At Bedford Library
I'm pleased with the on-line interview at www.TheMotivatedWriter.com (archived now). The Motivated Writer is a great site with a rapidly-growing subscriber
base. Su Kopil provides something for everyone.

Creative Writing Courses: As well as Writers' News Home Study Division, I'm now working for the London School of Journalism as a tutor. These are both distance learning courses, but I enjoy 'being live' for a Certificate of Higher Education for the University of Leicester, Northampton and Adult Education classes at Northampton Academy.

Lots of red faces! Wine, not embarrassment!
