| I've been asked about places in Malta that appear in Uphill All the Way, so I thought I'd post a few of my photos.
'Merhba' - Welcome! |

The Chalet, Ghar id Dud Bay |
When Judith met Giorgio she was watching teenagers jumping from this, The Chalet, in Ghar id Dud Bay, Malta. It became a dangerous structure and has been demolished, but once it was a ballroom! When I was a child I used to jump off it, too. It's a drop of about 30 feet. I was brave! (Or stupid.) |
| This is part of the view from Judith's balcony, over Sliema Creek and Marsamxett Harbour to Valletta. The dome is Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the steeple is St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral. St. Paul is one of the patron saints of Malta, having been shipwrecked there. |
 Valletta |
 The Ferries, Sliema Creek |
Judith's apartment overlooked this scene. The ferries sail to Valletta on this the Marsamxett side, around to Grand Harbour, or over to the sister islands of Gozo and Comino. |

 Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery |
These are the gates to Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery in the middle of the island, vast and fascinating, where Cass found Judith. |

The dive site at Ghar Lapsi. Deceptively calm... |
